Hey there! My name is Marissa and I am a first year gardener with this program!
I was so thrilled to join this amazing movement because of how passionate I am in believing that our food is our medicine! It nourishes our bodies and literally carries everything that we need to heal ourselves from the inside out!
I am also an herbalist, which means I specialize in plant/holistic medicine and I graduate with a degree in Integrated Health Sciences next year from the American College of Healthcare Sciences in Oregon.
I am also a mommy and really I should have stated this first because I am a mom first! Nothing brings me more joy than being able to steward my children from the land and being able to build these lasting memories and relationships with them in the garden! Teaching them through visual and hands on learning plus giving myself and them a reason to get our hands dirty is always a plus!
I am so thankful to be a part of this program and am literally soaking in everything this wonderful group has to share and offer! Can’t wait to see what my family learns and grows next! 🥰
