Farm Fresh Appalachia is the marketing campaign created to promote local food products and all the ways that purchasing local improves our lives, our community and our region. Fresh Fresh involves multiple groups committed to agriculture and tourism in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Funding for Farm Fresh Appalachia was been supported since 2017 by the USDA through Farmers Market Promotion Program, and Regional Food Systems Program grants.

Farmers Market sponsors for 2024 include Bobcat of the Mountain Empire and East TN Rent Alls. Our thanks go to these great local businesses for helping promote the importance of local food in northeast Tennessee!

FarmFresh is supported by a Regional Food Systems grant from the USDA.

Monthly Farm Report from Radio Bristol – Filmed in 2016-2019, this series of video interviews took us on a journey around the Southern Appalachia Highlands,  introducing us to some of the farmers and business owners that grow and produce our food. Food is part of our story, and farmers are the foundation of these stories. The Farm Report videos were featured at the monthly radio show Farm & Funtime at the Bristol Birthplace of Country Music Museum. Arranged by Rachel Wheeler and Kris Truelsen; hosted by Kris Truelsen; filmed by Radio Bristol Staff; produced by Kris Truelsen and Radio Bristol staff.
