Quilt Turning, 3rd annual, for the Quilt Trail

Every quilt has a story…

Of the heart that designed it, the hands that stitched it, and the family who was warmed underneath it. Come to our 3rd annual special storytelling performance, with lunch, featuring the antique and heirloom quilts behind the Quilt Trail, and stories told by the quilt barn owners themselves! Plus this year we have special guest and Jonesbrough Storytellers Guild member Marjorie Shaefer for a special performance of her own stories!

You will see dozens of unique handmade antique quilts, hear old family stories, and you’ll eat good too, thanks to Patricia Lynch’s summery fresh cooking at Farmhouse Gallery and Gardens, Unicoi TN.

All proceeds go to support the nonprofit Quilt Trail of northeast Tennessee. Sponsored by Tennessee Quilts Shop and QuiltFest.

[For 2017 active volunteers, and also our barn owners along the trail (or our downtown quilt block owners), you can choose a discounted ticket of $30 when you register.]   Includes lunch, chances to win door prizes and supports a great community 501c3 nonprofit cause.
 
 
This event is part of a regional initiative sponsored by the Tennessee Arts Commission to document quilt and community stories. The stories at the quilt turning will be recorded and preserved online on our growing Quilt Trail YouTube channel.
