April Expo for Local Food

On Monday, April 27, come on out to the third Tricities Local Food Expo with Farm-to-Business Mixer supported by the TN Department of Agriculture at the low cost of $15.00. You must register online before April 24, see link below.

During this fun networking event hosted by Johnson City Country Club you will get face time with area producers/growers of local produce, meat, and dairy AND area buyers of local food. Together, in the same rooms, around the same tables.

LOCAL is the top culinary trend for 2015 — we but all know that it’s here to stay and necessary for a sustainable future. if you are a grower, selling your product profitably to new markets is all about making relationships with buyers… Whether you are a serious seasoned grower or an aspirational one, all are welcome.

And if you are a buyer (such as a chef or distributor or grocer or nutritional coordinator), securing reliable high quality product to impress your customers is all about making relationships with growers. Whether you are the chef at an all-local eatery, or one who wants a piece of the local movement, all are welcome.

All attendees will been given the chance to rotate around and talk with everyone else. Refreshments featuring local seasonal ingredients will be provided by Johnson City Country Club in partnership with area farms, Boone Street Market, Rooted in Appalachia.
