What is our favorite summer vegetable to grow in our garden?? What summer vegetable has the largest reserved real estate area in our garden? What summer vegetable tastes like no other, and is so incredibly delicious, because the real ones are grown and harvested only during the summer…the one season, out of the entire four seasons of the year, that we cannot wait until the first one ripens, and this juicy summer delicacy, finally does appear?

You guessed it…Tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes. Although scientifically a fruit, does it really matter?

As second year gardeners, and soon to be future alumni, we want to, from the bottom of our hearts, say thank you to Rosie, and “BIU”, for ALL YOU HAVE TAUGHT US, through your magnanimous educational program, including our new gardening experiences, techniques, and opportunities. And, most importantly, thank you for introducing us to our new favorite tomato variety…”Amish Paste”. So colorful, sweet, and meaty, it is scrumptiously delicious for either cooking, or for fresh salads. Just pass that juicy, ripened ball of our colorful summer favorite, our way. And, to all those winter imposters…ugh!
