Summer AmeriCorps VISTA Brenna Fouts
The ARC&D is pleased to announce that we’ve hired an AmeriCorps VISTA service volunteer for a 10 week summer internship starting on June 1st. This year’s VISTA is Brenna Fouts, an ETSU student majoring in Social Work with a Minor in Spanish. Brenna works with Coalition for Kids in their after-school program and is a research assistant for an ETSU professor.
This summer, Brenna will have two main projects. She will be helping us conduct a survey on consumers who purchase local food and will also create curriculum for teaching young kids fun food science and nutrition lessons. If you see her at area Farmers’ Markets and ARC&D events this summer, be sure to say hello!
