“Founded in 2014 as a means to supply our restaurants, The Main Street Pizza Company, in both Downtown Johnson City and Kingsport, TN, we strive to raise awareness in the local food movement, and the impact a more local diet can have on the environment, as well as the local economy. Founded by Jamie Dove, a US Army Veteran who served overseas for many years, River Creek Farm is a certified Homegrown by Heroes farm, and a member of the Farmer Veteran Coalition. We also run a local produce subscription service, where we grow, and source from other small local operations, for a CSA style system that supplies over 150 families in the Tri-Cities area.”

Marigold Hill Farm & Gardens

124 Hicks Rd.
Jonesborough, TN 37659

Marigold Hill Farm and Gardens is a small, family-owned farm raising and selling produce year-round. We are located about 8 miles from Jonesborough, Tennessee, just off Old 81N. We sell the majority of what we grow at Boone Street Market in Jonesborough, but we also sell at our farm. Our fruits and veggies are grown without the use of chemicals. We start most of our own plants from heirloom seed saved year after year. To maintain the health of our soil and grow quality produce, we employ a variety of methods including cover-crops, crop rotation, composting and mulch. We use compost as the primary source of fertilizer for our plants and secondarily purchase some organic fertilizers, potting soil and other chemical-free products. Pests are controlled using an insecticidal soap spray that we mix ourselves and by hand-picking off any destructive insects. We extend our growing season with the use of row covers, hoop houses and a 45 foot passively-heated greenhouse that extends our harvest through the winter.

**Special activities: Childrens seed planting area, Native pine needle basket weaving demonstration, garden cart rides for younger children, hayrides for families (parental supervision is necessary)
**On Farm Sales Include: Seasonal produce and berry selection, baked goods, jams and jellies, lemonade and water
