AmeriCorps NCCC

The Appalachian RC&D has hosted two NCCC Disaster Relief Teams following the 1998 and 2002 floods. The NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) is a full-time, team-based residential program for men and women age 18–24.  Corps members serve an intensive 10 months addressing critical needs related to natural and other disasters, infrastructure improvement, environmental stewardship and conservation, energy conservation, and urban and rural development. To learn more about NCCC visit here.
