We had a wonderful day of meeting farmers and communing over local food and farm produce during the first Farm Fresh VA Farm Tour. Graced with clear blue skies and beautiful landscape, we all got a chance to see what is to LOVE about the farms of Southwest Virginia.
Thank you to everyone who made our first Farm Fresh VA Farm Tour possible. It takes a village to support a community. With the combined efforts of community participants (that’s you), volunteers, and the farms, we can all be proud of a very successful farm tour. Saturday allowed us to connect more deeply with our food system through a personal behind-the-scenes look at the fruitful labor that provides us fresh, delicious locally grown foods.
